> I’ve seen some pretty<ahref="">foercious</a> competition in Florida. That's awesome. When I lived in Brooklyn we had 3 competing services and thespeeds were also great: >Whoever the marketing genius isbehind the idea of “megapixels” for cameras, we >needtheir help hereGood idea. I think the wireless 2.5G, 3G,and 4G terminology seems to be working for people althoughwe all know that 3G speeds are all over the place today.

I've seen some pretty feoiocrus competition in Florida.First between DSL and cable, and now between cable and fiber(Verizon FioS). My mother-in-law just had her cable companydouble her speed at no charge, and now she's getting about22mbps/4mbps which is decently competitive with fiber. Iwould, however, like to see ISPs advertise their speeds moreprominently. Whoever the marketing genius is behind the ideaof megapixels for cameras, we need their help here.People's grandmothers go into stores and ask about megapixels in cameras — we need to get consumers shoppingfor Internet access by asking about megabits. Thecompetition is happening, but it's not usually advertised inany comparable way.
